Retired after 36 years otj. The only way out of this downward spiral is to institute mandatory government service for ALL Americans 18 yoa for at least 2 years. Basic training implemented, uniform issuance, skill sets determined after basic and assignments to military, forest service, fire service, etc for minimum 2 years. Removed from the free-fire zones, parents basements etc. and at least given a chance to grow up, serve and learn a trade or to continue education. A win-win for the current lose-lose country -killing state of affairs today. Nothing else will work. Peace

I agree with you about adding responsibility, but no way the government is forcing it on anyone. Not any more. Plus the military does not want to deal with the malcontents they get now with an all volunteer service let alone the malcontents that would be forced on them in a draft. Its going to take a sea change to right the ship, one that no one wants to happen because its going to involve a major event like WW2..

Johnson won the primary because the north lake front wards all went for Johnson, and the black vote was split among 9 other black candidates. Lightfoot would have won the primary if not for the amount of candidates., she beat Johnson in every Black ward.
