As is our usual routine with any shooting, we gather all the details we can, make note, maybe illustrate or add to a graphic, and then move on to the next one. Police-involved shootings are no different. Then other night, a serial rabble-rouser posted the following on X:
We were a little confused at first given the only recent police-involved shooting involved a CPD officer getting shot. Typically shootouts don’t fall into the execution column. We even spent some time searching scanner traffic for a shooting we might have missed. However, as usual, unemployable activist-ville and reality are not on the same plane of existence as Ja’Mal’s post disappeared a few hours later.
In any event, the reaction to the videos ranged from measured and logical to flatout retarded. As is the case with incidents like this, it’s usually the retarded reactions that gain the most traction. So far, nothing has transpired in the way of mostly peaceful violence despite the hope of some in the activist-grift-osphere.
Speaking of retarded, no mention of soccer games or his black wife, y’all, but he managed to get Black in one sentence twice. DRINK!
As mayor, and as a father raising a family – including two Black boys on the West Side – I am personally devastated to see yet another young Black man lose his life during an interaction with the police…
We won’t talk about the 90 Black men who have lost their lives this year at the hands of someone other than the cops. By the way, the cop who was shot is Black and will likely be unable to police again given the extent of his injury. Anyway, watch the video and decide for yourself.
