Don’t Demonize Weekend #23
A non-demonizable, stress mishandling rundown of all the mostly peaceful, yet sometimes violent and "unacceptable" events in and around Chicago this past weekend.
Brandon says, “If you don’t live in Chicago, you don’t have a right to talk about the city of Chicago.” Therefore was ask that you do NOT share this post or any of the following unless you live within the city limits. Your cooperation is greatly appreciated.

Clown City Update 🤡
Your business colleague catches at least 20 rounds out of a 50+ round salvo and who do you get upset with? Like old school WWF “Hacksaw” Jim Duggan upset with but with a scrap of wood similar to a cricket bat instead of a 2x4”? Why the Chicago Police Department of course!

Here’s the surveillance video from moments earlier proving that it’s the CPD, undercover of course, using “weapons of war” gunning down an innocent bystander. Hey… wait a second, aren’t those machine gunny-looking things illegal?

Would You Like A Side of Lead With That?
Sociopathic retards who should otherwise be behind bars and off the streets are now afforded numerous chances to turn their life around one-tenth of a degree at a time. Part of that life-changing process includes showing off your arthritic hands and a pistol to an off-duty police officer.
A man who threw up gang signs and pointed a gun at another man in a McDonald’s parking lot got shot in the head by the other man, who happened to be an off-duty Chicago police officer, officials said.
Carlos Negrete, 25, was on bail for a pending felony gun case at the time, prosecutors said as they announced felony charges against him on Sunday afternoon.
Restaurant surveillance footage allegedly shows the officer sitting in his car in the parking lot as Negrete pulls up next to him in an SUV shortly after 11 p.m. Negrete exchanged words with the off-duty cop and then made gang hand gestures, Huff said.
The situation escalated further when Negrete pulled out a handgun with a laser sight attached and pointed it at the officer, according to Huff. He said the laser is visible on the security video.
Believing that he was about to be shot, the officer pulled out his firearm and shot Negrete in the head, Huff said.
Negrete was able to drive away despite his injuries, and the officer reported the incident to CPD. (full story)
To recap, out on bail (for $500), illegal firearm (maybe, depends on the definition of “illegal”), laser sight (Sir! those are illegal in Chicago SIR!), aggravated assault with a firearm (probably legal these days if pointing at cops), crippling arthritis (there’s probably a safe and effective shot for that), all means that our retarded hero will be back on the streets in no time. Now you don’t go getting into any trouble now, Carlos.

Wow! We hit 2000 subscribers on this platform in the past week. Thank you to everyone who made the “silly decision” to subscribe. A good number of you have pledged to become paid subscribers if and when we decide to flip the switch. This issue we’ve been struggling with is, what can we offer paid subscribers above and beyond a normal subscription? If you have an idea or have seen something interesting that other Substack writers do, please leave a comment below.

It has been a couple of weeks since we first heard the term “mishandled the stress”. We suspect there will be much more mishandling to come and that mishandling needs some stress-reducing threads.
If you’ve made it this far, thanks for reading. Our goal is to push out one long form post a week in addition to our regular stats focused posts. Thanks and remember “We don't want nobody nobody sent”.
I think chicago still lags behind baltimore in murders, but with a strong push they can take the lead and win. Go chicago!!! You can do it!
I love the commenters here, and the moderators. Chicagoland was my childhood home. Before they all went woke and kneeling, I was a Cubs, Blackhawks, Bulls, Bears fan.
I loved going to Facets multimedia. I took the Niles Free Buses to the library as a child. I loved the pizzarias, and the combination of tough guy personna coupled with World Class Universities and Medical Centers. I was on the Waiting List for Northwestern University Medical School's 6 year med program in high school, and was accepted early decision to U of Illinois School of Medicine out of Texas Christian undergrad (and University of Texas Medical Branch SOM).
I chose UTMB. It turned out to be one of the better decisions of my life, on the whole.
My unconscious at age 21 knew why I was "turning away." At almost 61, with an awesome Medical Job in New Mexico and my retirement home in Texas (long term contract work as an MD does this to you), and what has happened to my unfortunate home over the years, it is very clear now what I was processing.
Similarly, I did my Psychiatry residency program at UCLA Olive View. On June 18th, 1993, I graduated from the program. On July 4th, I met my future wife in small town Alabama. On the 12th, I started my practice.
My homes are in small town New Mexico and small town Texas, 30 minutes from the Gulf of Mexico in the latter case, where I plan to retire, God Willing. It is a very good place to live (so is small town Northern Alabama).
I pray for the safety of the men and women of the Chicago Police and Fire Departments.
Go to Sperling's Best Places and look up: Brownsville, McAllen, and Harlingen, all in Texas. Compare and contrast to Chicago. You will be pleasantly surprised. Then, get hired by the local PDs, change your voter registration to GOP, and enjoy your new home. Don't bring your snow blower. Sell it before you go.
