Clown City Update 🤡
We had teed this one up for last week but never hit send on our weekend update. D’oh!
From “We will finally make Chicago a true sancutary city” to “oh hell no!”:
The Chicago Mayor's Office is preparing to discuss plans to house migrants at the old South Shore High School.
It's a proposal that is causing some stir within the community.
The public forum was held at the South Shore International College Prep Thursday night and it was a packed house that strongly opposed the idea of migrants being housed in their neighborhood.
"I am just outraged! I’m outraged and I don’t understand why our community was chosen?" said one resident during the forum.
City representatives told the crowd that the old South Shore High School would not be a shelter, but would be one of three respite centers for the migrants to temporarily sleep, eat and take a shower. They would start with about 250 people taking up the building’s first floor. (full story)
Remember, there is nothing as permenant as a temporary government program. “Respite centers”, uh huh, sure they are. In any event, we took a look at the voting patterns of the seven precincts that are not only home to the high school itself, but also the immediate surronding areas. Shockingly, the residents don’t seem to be the MAGA-voting type.
For the Febraury 28th municipal election:
Lori and Brandon captured a combinded 60.6% of the vote.
Lori received 41% overall.
For the April 4th runoff election:
Brandon pulled down an impressive 80.9% of the vote.
Paul Vallas was left with just 19.1%.
It’s not as if either Lori’s or Brandon’s positions were a mystery. You could argue they openly boasted about it.

We asked Google’s new Bard AI tool, “tell me about heyjackass” and this is what it told us:
Not bad, however we have questions about “The Crime Traveler” part.
Be on the lookout a little later this week for a full rundown of the dataset we amassed during Lori’s four-year reign of dumb. Over 15,000 rows of manually entered nonsense and stupidity.
Out with the Lightfoot and in with the Johnson
