Clown City Update 🤡
It is hard to tell if this is a parody account, but it’s a guarantee that someone around town, most likely in a high-rise along the lakefront, is mumbling something like this to anyone within earshot.
Election-Meme-ring
Now that we’ve narrowed the mayoral field from nine to two, the memes will become more focused and in greater and greater volumes as we get closer to April 4th. And with Lori out of the race, Lori v2.0 is proving to be an easy target for our meme-ing friend, @Purplehip312.
15K
Above we mentioned above, the 15,000 shot threshold for Lori’s term is getting closer and closer to being crossed. Lori only needs about five shot a day through May 15th to break 15k shot during her four year term. For Chicago, that’s about as easy of a lead-filled layup as one can get.
Note that Rahm’s second term included 2016 and 2017 which were shitshows in their own right. Unfortunately, we do not have a similar data set for Rahm’s first term, which saw some of the lowest homicide counts in decades. Going off the number of homicides tallied during that timeframe along with the average fatality rate of a shooting, divided by some more numbers and multiplied by even more numbers, we’d estimate that Rahm’s first term tallied less than 10k shot.
All Dicks Must Come To An End
We’ve knocked $5 off one of our most popular tees as a thank you for a solid third place finish.
Thanks to @Purplehip312 on Twitter for crafting the creative header image.
If you’ve made it this far, thanks for reading. Our goal is to push out one long form post a week in addition to our regular stats focused posts. Thanks and remember “We don't want nobody nobody sent”.
