Clown City Update 🤡
Few virtue signal better than our outgoing mayor. Her instant hot takes on national issues would almost always blow up in her face like Elmer Fudd’s shotgun. And the rule of thumb when it comes to virtue signaling is to signal harder, because harder is always better since there’s no need to ever worry about the outcome or the result. Let someone else clean up that mess and move on to the next current thing.
Act 1: Introduce the cast and setting for the rest of the shitshow.
Act 2: Turn up the virtue signaling with claims of success despite no evidence of success. Oh, and throw out some -ists and -phobes to further amplify the signal.
Mayor Lori Lightfoot welcomed 75 immigrants bused to Chicago by Texas Gov. Greg Abbott on Thursday as “our new neighbors” and vowed to provide them sanctuary after a harrowing journey.
Lightfoot, who is running for re-election, relished the chance to welcome the immigrants to Chicago, most of whom arrived in the United States after fleeing Venezuela, where the collapse of the economy has triggered political instability.
“We are Chicago, a welcoming city, a city where we live our values every single day — a city where immigrants and refugees have been a part of the fabric of the city from our earliest days,” Lightfoot told reporters at a Salvation Army shelter on the North Side. “What we have and will continue to do is welcome them with open arms and refuse to turn our backs on them in a time when they need support the most.”
While vowing to do whatever is necessary to help the city’s newest residents, Lightfoot blasted Abbott as a “man without morals” and said his decision to send two bus loads of immigrants to Chicago was “inhumane, unpatriotic, racist and xenophobic.” (full story)
Act 3: Everything turns to shit, as usual.
75 new neighbors, oh hell yeah, take that -ist! Over 6000? Whoa, wait a minute, there’s not enough sanctuary for that.
Don’t Demonize Parents
We’ve been told that we’re not supposed to demonize kids and teenagers for their “silly decisions”. Does the same principal apply to their shithead parents? Probably.
Oh noes! So you’re thinking an excitable yet impressionable young’un made a silly decision by bringing some mustard gas to school, but you’d be wrong you stereotyping ist-a-phobe:
Of course there’s video, but since embeds don’t work, click through on the link below to watch honor students battle it out over who gets the last full ride to MIT.

At that time, the parent instigated an altercation with a small group of students and used pepper spray toward students and staff.
The school contacted campus security and the Chicago Police Department and a soft lockdown was initiated to ensure the safety of staff and students.
The parent was escorted out of the building by campus security staff and then arrested by CPD.
She was identified as 36-year-old Anita Wikens. She was charged with two misdemeanors for criminal trespassing and reckless conduct. (full story)
Instigated? That term is demonizing. Let’s go with “gently persuaded” instead.
New Carnival Poster!
We spent tens and tens of minutes last week pulling this one together and it shows! Let everyone know that demonization-free fun and enjoyment await downtown all summer long! We have some new tees as well. Check them out at shopjackass.com.
If you’ve made it this far, thanks for reading. Our goal is to push out one long form post a week in addition to our regular stats focused posts. Thanks and remember “We don't want nobody nobody sent”.
I pray for the safety of the rank and file Chicago Police, Firemen, ER Docs and Nurses. Also for the staff and physicians of your psych units and trauma centers.
I'm grateful, at 60, to my 18 year old self for deciding to do my undergraduate at Texas Christian University.
I like and appreciate the summaries.
